But a Twitter story this week went viral due to a bold statement coming from an unexpected place. Just… read the entire thing.

Ch-ch-check out Chad's tale (below)!

I usually get my hair cut on Thursdays, but this week I went in on Tuesday, so you know, there's a different group of regulars there. Apparently, Tuesday has a white dude. pic.twitter.com/zngpI4WSdJ

But I mean. White white. Not "I listen to old school Talib Kweli" white dude with a fish plate. I mean "I just moved to Harlem from Kansas" white dude. But he was participating in the lil football conversation and giving his two cents so good for him. pic.twitter.com/TJL7tBw4S5

And….she was on that "we have to support our Black men because he's just going through some things" bullshit. pic.twitter.com/40S6GdW5If

Y'all…that white man getting his hair cut jumped in with a "well actually…" and the SILENCE that befell the shop! Like, Chad…do you really wanna do this? Here? I was not ready to see that little white man get thrown out with half a haircut. pic.twitter.com/ndklgphCnw

Chad: "I understand what you're saying about protecting your community, but Kanye is throwing you under the bus by aligning with white supremacy, and to say that 'he's going through something' is in direct contrast to his own claims and his wife's claims that he's just fine."

OKAY CHAD? pic.twitter.com/zQ8niSSMNg

Chad: "Kanye's biggest problem isn't that he's 'going through something' but that he doesn't listen. Kanye decided Kanye is a genius and Kanye decided Kanye has all the answers, and he lives in a bubble of his own making. The only thing he's going through is being an asshole."

CHADLEY! pic.twitter.com/Vnn11YrPpp

There were like five seconds of complete silence, which is an hour in barbershop time. And I wasn't trynna break the silence, because with my gay ass voice I really try to be as incognegro as possible up in there, so I pretended to be processing. pic.twitter.com/zgRTFxSLP5

But then everybody pretty much broke LOUDLY at the same time laughing with "yooooo" and " my man Chad" (IDK what that white man's name is) while offensively guffawing in the direction of the hoteptress at the back of the shop.

So that's the story of a very BRAVE white man in a Black barbershop who decided to loudly give his opinion about Kanye west surrounded by men holding sharp objects. Looks like gentrification won a very tiny victory today.
