When she’s not working hard on her Freeform show, “Grown-ish,” or working hard to make sure young people vote with the Eighteen x 18 campaign, the 18-year-old is getting ready to become a normal college freshman!
In a recent interview, Yara opened up about education and how she considers herself a student in every aspect of life. She also got real about her heritage, being an inspiration to young women, and revealed that sleeping is her guilty pleasure! We feel you on that Yara!
“This last year has been so much about learning and growing, so I’ve been a student of many teachers this year, especially my parents. I’ve been receptive to learning and receptive to the world around me. Also entering my adulthood has meant there have been moments that I’ve had to learn from and continue exploring – it’s required me to learn new skills.”
