The reality star shows off her new bubblegum pink locks this weekend when she arrived in Toyko, Japan following a long flight from the United States. Joined by sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, the 37-year-old looked to be in good spirits as she chatted on the phone while making her way through the airport terminal.
Recently, the KKW Beauty founder took to her official app to explain why she decided add some color to her platinum silver tresses.
“Ever since I did the CR Fashion Book shoot and wore a pink wig, I thought it would be fun to dye my hair pink,” she wrote, explaining that she had thought about the hair transformation for about a month. “Since my hair is blond right now, it was easy to put the pink color over it. I figured now was the perfect timing! North absolutely loves it! She was so excited when she woke up to see I had pink hair. Kanye loves it, too. He thinks it’s fun to mix things up.”
She added, “It might only last a week or two, but I love it and I hope you guys do too!”
Her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, said in the same post that he tried to select a shade a rose that would compliment the mom-of-three’s skin tone.
“There are so many types of pinks to try, so it’s important that you work with a pink that suits your coloring and makeup to get the right look!” he shared. “I didn’t want to re-bleach her hair, as I want to keep the condition strong—so, the roots worked perfectly!”
