Is Smith Jerrod siding with Carrie Bradshaw? You be the judge.

Sex and the City hunk Jason Lewis weighed in on co-star Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker’s ongoing feud when Celebuzz! caught up with him at the premiere of Half Magic in West Hollywood on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

Though he refused to comment on his relationship with Kim, who played his onscreen lover on the HBO series and in both of its two theatrical releases, the 46-year-old actor had nothing but nice things to say about S.J.P.

“Sarah Jessica was just a consummate sweetheart and professional,” he gushed.

As for his feelings on actresses’ public spat, which sparked last fall when Sarah announced the planned third Sex and the City movie had been scrapped, Jason kept things pretty close to the chest and maintained that his ex-castmates have always been civil.

“I think it’s probably supposed. I really don’t think feel that much about it,” he said, denying he ever saw any hints of animosity between the two on set. “I don’t think there’s much more than that.”

As fans know, the mounting tension between Kim, 61, and Sarah, 52, bubbled over last year when news broke that work on the threequel — which already had a completed script — was canceled indefinitely. At the time, rumors accused Kim of being a “diva” for refusing to reprise her role as Samantha Jones.

After Sarah told the press it was “disappointing” to see the project dead in the water, Kim put her co-star on blast by saying she could “could have been nicer” to her instead. “I don’t know what her issue is,” she said. “I never have.”

Early this February, following the death of her brother, Kim had more scathing words for Sarah when her former co-star offered condolences. “I don’t need your love and support at this tragic time,” she wrote. “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
