Story Claiming Caitlyn Jenner Is “Proud” Of Kanye West’s Donald Trump Support Is Fake

A story claiming Caitlyn Jenner is “proud” of Kanye West’s support for Donald Trump is “fake,” a rep for Jenner tells Gossip Cop exclusively. We can bust this phony report. It was entirely fabricated.

West has sparked controversy the last few weeks by praising Trump. Amid the ongoing backlash, HollywoodLife is purporting to have “exclusive details” on Jenner’s reaction to the situation. A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Caitlyn is happy and proud that Kanye has the courage to support Trump so publicly.” Asserting that Jenner understands what it’s like to have “unpopular opinions” within the Kardashian family, the site’s alleged snitch contends, “She thinks Kanye is being brave, just like she was for many years.”

That said, the blog also maintains Jenner is “shocked and bewildered” by some of West’s other inflammatory remarks, such as comments he made this past week about slavery. The purported tipster adds, “Caitlyn finds Kanye inspiring but fears his support of Trump will be dismissed because of his other outrageous statements.” It’s further alleged Jenner sees West’s ideas as “brave and bold,” but thinks “sometimes his energy is misguided or misunderstood.”

Last year, Jenner defended voting for Trump in the presidential election. But in March, Jenner slammed the Trump Administration as the “worst ever” when it comes to transgender rights and issues. It makes little sense then that she would now be praising West for supporting him. Notably, the former Olympian has not expressed public approval for Trump in quite some time, nor has she publicly voiced any approval of West’s remarks about the president.

Apparently HollywoodLies, as the website is known for its tendency to manufacture stories, wants readers to think it scored a scoop. In actuality, its article was made-up, Jenner’s rep confirms to Gossip Cop, further calling the report “fake.” However she feels about West right now, no “source” close to her is sharing that information with the online publication.

The outlet is not the first to link the pair in recent days. Earlier this week, In Touch alleged West was staying with Jenner amid his scandal and an impending divorce from Kim Kardashian. But Jenner’s spokesperson told Gossip Cop it was “not true” West was residing with her. And, as confirmed by Kardashian’s rep, there is no looming divorce for the “KUWTK” star and the rapper, either. With West generating so much attention right now, tabloids and blogs are trying to capitalize on all of the interest. But they are often doing so with false claims, as is the case here.
