So is this the week that Donald Trump tries to fire Robert Mueller or nah?
March 19, 2018I was happily burrowed in my little tennis-watching hole this weekend (vamos DelPo!!!) but I did keep my eye on all of the absolutely insane political shenanigans. I saw a tweet, months ago, which was basically like “if you stop paying attention to the news for two solid days, you get whiplash from trying to catch up with all the sh-t that happens hour by hour.” To summarize the past 72 hours, Trump/Sessions fired Andrew McCabe at DOJ for petty, nonsensical reasons. McCabe was just two days away from retiring and getting his full pension, just to add another petty level. This is how Trump explained it:
And on and on. Honestly, he tweeted a lot of sh-t but it feels like those tweets are being archived for future use at some kind of impeachment hearing or criminal trial, who knows. In addition to making the unhinged case for why McCabe “deserved” to be fired because his wife donated money to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Trump also started tweeting sh-t about Bob Mueller. Which has led some people to wonder aloud: is this the week that Trump tries to fire Bob Mueller?
This was actually the first time (??) that Trump tweeted out the name “Mueller.” Apparently, his lawyers warned him not to go after Mueller directly in tweets, but since Trump is a f–king idiot, he did it anyway. Now sources say that we should expect Trump to start attacking Mueller and the investigation more directly. Which leads me back to the central question: is this the week that all hell breaks loose and Trump tries to fire Mueller?
