May 25, 2018Rose McGowan and More Harvey Weinstein Accusers Rejoice After NYC Arrest on Rape Charges
Asia Argento, Rosanna Arquette and Mira Sorvino are among the stars reveling in this moment after previously sharing their allegations against Weinstein.
Rose McGowan is joining Harvey Weinstein accusers Asia Argento and Roseanna Arquette in celebrating his arrest on Friday.
The actress-turned-activist appeared on Megyn Kelly's "Today" show hour after the disgraced film mogul, who's been accused over sexual assault, rape and misconduct by dozens of women, surrendered to NYPD on first- and third-degree rape charges, plus a criminal sex act in the first degree, stemming form incidents two women reported in 2013 and 2004. TMZ reported one victim has been identified as Lucia Evans, who has already shared her traumatic 2004 account with the press, while the other woman remains anonymous.

"The man who pinned me down had handcuffs on him today," McGowan told Kelly. "It’s surreal, its real. It’s both and it’s kind of like living in Salvador Dali painting, this whole thing. And to see him do the Bill Cosby old man perp walk on the way in, so we already know what he is planning, to see him in cuffs on the way out, whether he smiled or not, that’s a very good feeling."
McGowan echoed a sentiment she said after Bill Cosby was found guilty for sexual assault earlier this spring, telling the NBC personality she "actually didn’t believe this day would come."
"This is a big strike into the heart of abuse of power," McGowan added.

At another point in the interview, McGowan called Weinstein the "cult leader of Hollywood," and a predator that "ate a lot of my life."
Weinstein, however, is still maintaining his innocence in a statement through his lawyer. "Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in non-consensual sexual behavior with anyone," Weinstein's attorney said after the arrest. "Nothing about today's proceedings changes Mr. Weinstein's position. Mr. Weinstein maintains that he is Not Guilty of the charges filed today and is confident that he will be fully exonerated."
