The American Idol reboot looks more like a wild night out than a singing competition.
Though past judges like Simon Cowell are known for their harsh criticisms, Katy Perry is making a name for herself as the one who gets into crazy antics and flashes America her ladyparts.
During an episode this week, the singer suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while dancing with Idol hopeful Michelle Sussett during her audition. While attempting to drop it like it’s hot, the 33-year-old revealed a little bit too after stumbling in high heels. Needless to say, fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan got an eyeful of what was going on under her short dress.
“I’m the best dancer ever,” Katy quipped as she was being helped up by her colleagues.
Bryan added, “There are some things a man can’t unsee!”

The cringe-worthy slip-up followed the “Swish Swish” hitmaker’s headline-making kiss with contestant Benjamin Glaze during the show’s season premiere on ABC. When she heard the teen “can’t kiss a girl without being in a relationship,” Katy slyly played a trick on him so she could be the one to give him his first smooch on the lips.
“You didn’t!” the young aspiring crooner said after falling down in total disbelief from the lip-lock. “Well, that’s a first.”
Benjamin, who was eventually rejected by the judges, later called the whole experience “a tad bit uncomfortable.” Oof.
