Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Time Apart Taking Toll On Their Marriage?

A new tabloid report claiming time apart is taking a toll on Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s marriage is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. A rep for the actress tells us their relationship is going strong.

According to the National Enquirer, however, the actress has been “down in the dumps” while filming the second season of “Big Little Lies” in California because her husband has been on the road. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Nicole’s looking like hell and seems to be struggling with the long separation. She’s spending a lot more time alone this season.”

The outlet’s alleged insider goes on to say Kidman also worries that her husband, who’s been open about his past struggles with addiction, “will fall off the wagon because she’s not there to watch him.” The seemingly phony tipster adds, “Their friends are now concerned that all this may be too much for their marriage to bear.”

There’s simply no truth to any of this. While the tabloid hides behind an anonymous and untraceable “source,” Kidman’s own spokesperson has told Gossip Cop several times that she and Urban aren’t having any marriage problems. As for the outlet’s false assertion that the couple never spends any time together, Kidman and Urban attended the ACM Awards together this past Sunday, cuddling up to each other while posing on the red carpet and while seated during the awards ceremony.

The actress and country star obviously have busy work schedules that require them to travel, but that’s been the case for the entirety of their 12-year marriage, so why would it be an issue all of a sudden? Meanwhile, Kidman helped Urban get sober shortly after their 2006 wedding, and he’s been clean from drugs and alcohol ever since. Once again, it doesn’t make sense the actress would fear her husband is going to relapse while he’s touring, which he’s been doing throughout their marriage.

For whatever reason, the tabloids are constantly trying to create nonexistent problems between Kidman and Urban, but the couple remains very happily married. The actress’s rep tells Gossip Cop on the record there’s simply no truth to any claims otherwise.
