The comedian takes aim at Meghan McCain's criticism of her comedy routine too, while appearing on "The View."

In her first live interview since headlining this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, Michelle Wolf came out swinging against her critics, including "The View's" very own Meghan McCain.

The comedian came under fire from both sides thanks to a joke about Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who she compared to Aunt Lydia on "The Handmaid's Tale." Following the event, McCain said the entire appearance was "a big fat gift to the Trump administration."

To the people who were offended and believed she was making a dig at Sanders' appearance, Wolf said, "I thought you were smarter. Just listen to the joke." She added, "I think it said more about them. No, I think you have something to say about her looks. I'm fine."

After McCain reiterated her stance on Wolf's set, she asked the guest how she felt about WHCD possibly never hiring a comedian again in the wake of the outrage. "How would you feel if you killed another comedian's job?" she asked.

"I don't care! It's not like a great job," Wolf said with a laugh. "I think everyone that's every done it is like, 'Great, now I don't have to do it again.' The whole time I called it a homework assignment. But being a gift to Trump, I don't think it was a gift to Trump more than every single 'news' show is a gift to Trump."
