Margot Robbie’s Busy Career Threatening Her Marriage?

A new tabloid report claiming Margot Robbie’s busy career is threatening her marriage to Tom Ackerley is completely false. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told there’s no truth to it.

The actress is attached to star in a number of films over the next few years, including Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a Robin Hood spinoff focusing on Maid Marian, and multiple Suicide Squad spinoffs. Robbie is also developing various projects as a producer, and now according to NW, the actress’s busy slate is taking a toll on her marriage.

“Margot’s convinced she can do it all, but it’s a lot of work for one person and Tom is begging her to take a break,” a so-called “source” tells the magazine. “She hasn’t had a proper holiday in a while now, they barely get any time together and he’s worried that she’s on the fast track to burning out completely.”

The outlet’s questionable source further contends that Robbie refuses to scale back her work commitments, which has resulted in “major tension” in her marriage. In addition to being concerned about their relationship, Ackerley is supposedly worried about his wife’s health as well. “He knows better than anyone how Margot will run herself into the ground if she’s not careful,” adds the seemingly phony tipster, who maintains that the assistant director “would love nothing more” than to leave Hollywood and “go back to Australia.”

This narrative is totally inaccurate. For starters, Robbie and Ackerley are producing partners who are developing dozens of projects through their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. Considering that the spouses work side-by-side, the tabloid’s assertion “they barely get any time together” is provably false.

Additionally, E! News recently published an article noting that Ackerley “is very supportive” of Robbie’s career, “and travels with her and is on set all the time.” As for the claim the actress’s husband wants to permanently move back to Australia, the reliable entertainment website revealed the couple happily travels “back and forth to Australia as often as they can to see their families.”

Regardless of all the evidence disproving the magazine’s premise, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Robbie, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that her marriage is going strong. We’re told Ackerley is very invested in his wife’s career, as is evident by all the projects he’s helping her produce. If the untrustworthy tabloid bothered to do a bit of fact-checking, it would know Robbie’s husband plays an important role in her professional life.

In fact, Robbie recently opened up about working alongside Ackerley. During a January appearance on the Australian talk show “The Project,” the actress said, “It’s good, it means we actually get to spend time together… To actually be working on the same job means that we actually get to hang out for months.”
