When it was announced today that Kate Middleton and Prince William had named their brand new baby Louis, there was one name that came to fans’ minds: Louis Tomlinson.

Fans were quick to joke that the royal family had named the new price after the former One Direction singer, and no one was more excited about it than Louis himself!

The singer took to Twitter to welcome “young Louis” to the world, joking that he was sending one of his signature tracksuits in the mail.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
