Lisa Bonet Says She Knew Bill Cosby Was Up to Something

Bill Cosby has always been something of a moral scold. He has always had a bit of a reputation for being the guy who complained about how other comics didn’t work clean like he did, as if guys like George Carlin, Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks were just taking the easy way out. His fellow comics, many of whom probably grew up listening to Cosby’s stand-up, were pretty quick to point this out once it came out that he was a rapist.
BILL COSBY: Don't work blue. (Goes and rapes a bunch of women)
REDD FOXX: Cunt fuck pussy lips. (Proceeds to not rape anyone)

One of the victims of Cosby’s public moral crusade was Lisa Bonet, the actress who played his oldest daughter Denise on The Cosby Show. Cosby fired her after it came out that she had choke sex with Mickey Rourke in a movie called Angel Heart, a film whose only good part was Lisa Bonet having choke sex with Mickey Rourke. Bonet was interviewed by Net-A-Poter and described Cosby as being dark and sinister when she worked with him.
“No, it’s exactly as I remember it,” she says. But did you have a sense that anything was happening? “There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions, but… There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.” You sensed a darkness? “Always. And if I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.”
Anyone who comes up with an episode of a television show where he gives birth to a six foot grinder for sure has some dark secrets.
Even though Bonet is entitled to the last laugh here, she’s being graceful.
“I don’t need to say, ‘I told you so’,” she says about Cosby’s current situation. “I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be.”
You know, she’s being a lot more tasteful about the allegations than Cosby was before he was arrested and shit got real for him.
