The Gossip Girl alum not only recently traded in her long locks for a springtime-appropriate lob, but she also underwent a dramatic transformation by dyeing her signature brunette tresses to a shocking shade of platinum blonde.
The 31-year-old was spotted picking up Keraphix protein treatments to protect her new ‘do after completing a seven-hour color process at Nexxus Salon on Tuesday, April 3, in New York City.
“I don’t even feel comfortable saying that I just went blonde. It is a totally different color of hair!” she told People following the makeover.

So what prompted the change? According to the actress, it was simply just time to overhaul her look.
“I’ve had long, natural hair for a long time. The length it got to felt like the exact opposite of what I wanted to go for. I really felt like something that was a stark difference would be invigorating and fun,” she explained. “I like to try different things and experiment. So when I wanted to change my hair, I just thought, “I should just completely go for it!’”
“After I get a new color or cut I like to see how it will dry,” she continued. “But I do like styling it differently and trying new looks and textures with a new color too.”
