Kylie Jenner spends only an hour a day with baby Stormi, according to a wrong tabloid report. The reality star is being accused of barely caring for her own child. Gossip Cop can debunk the misguided story.

The new cover of Heat brands Jenner a “one-hour-a-day mom.” The accompanying story alleges the first-time parent is more interested in “looking super-hot for her date nights and holidays” with Travis Scott than raising their daughter, who was born in February. The gossip magazine maintains that even when Jenner is at home, she’s “more hands-off than hands-on.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Kylie sometimes doesn’t spend more than an hour per a day with Stormi.”

“She has an army of nannies and instructs them to let her know when Stormi’s ‘being cute,’ so she can come and play with her,” alleges the supposed source. The purported tipster further claims, “Kylie has no idea what to do when Stormi is crying or fussing, and leaves it all in the hands of the nannies. It seems half the time she’s with her daughter is actually spent taking photos for Snapchat and Instagram.”

There’s no disputing the “KUWTK” star enjoys posting photos of her baby on social media. In an image Jenner shared on Instagram on Wednesday, she is holding Stormi in Turks and Caicos, where she and Scott have been vacationing this week. But if Jenner was such a “hands-off” and disinterested mom, why wouldn’t she have left Stormi home with the nannies and gone away without her? It seems like a lot of unnecessary work to bring an infant to another country if Jenner planned on spending only a single hour a day with her.

It is also true that Jenner has nannies and assistants to help her care for the 3-month-old tot, but that doesn’t mean she also isn’t directly involved herself. In fact, while acknowledging the assistance she has at her disposal, People reported that nonetheless, “She’s incredibly doting and hands-on as a mom.” Plus, the notion that Jenner wouldn’t know how to calm a crying baby is laughable given that she has spent plenty of time with nieces Penelope and North, as well as nephews Mason, Reign and Saint, since they were born. As seen in Jenner’s pregnancy video, she was also around niece Chicago following her birth in January.

Furthermore, and most importantly, her own comments about motherhood go directly against this report. In an interview released this week, Jenner reveals she actually loves changing diapers. “It’s really satisfying,” she admits. “To make her clean again… The whole thing is really… is such an amazing experience.” Jenner also speaks in the interview about how upset she gets leaving Stormi due to work obligations. Heat is not only painting a negative picture of the new mom, but it’s clear it’s not an accurate one, either.
