A tabloid report claiming Kristen Stewart wants to develop a romance with Cate Blanchett is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can correct this story. We’ve learned it’s entirely fabricated.

The two actresses spent a lot of time together earlier this month while serving on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. Their many photo shoots and press conferences together has seemingly inspired OK! to create a phony love connection. “Kristen Crushing On Cate,” reads a headline in the latest issue of the magazine, which suggests that Stewart wants to date the older actress.

“Kristen’s been infatuated with Cate for years,” a so-called “source” tells the outlet. “She just wilts over her looks.” The questionable insider concludes that Stewart “would like something more with Cate.” First off, Blanchett shares four kids with her husband of 21 years, so the magazine is strongly implying that Stewart has no problem breaking up a family, which is simply ridiculous.

Additionally, Stewart’s girlfriend Stella Maxwell accompanied her to Cannes, and their relationship appears to be going quite strong. The couple was spotted kissing at dinner while celebrating Maxwell’s birthday during the trip. Stewart and her girlfriend traveled back to Los Angeles together just a few days ago. Considering the actress wanted the model by her side throughout the entirety of her trip, it’s quite clear she isn’t looking to ditch her girlfriend for a married woman.

Regardless, Gossip Cop is told on background that Stewart isn’t pursuing a romance with Blanchett. The young actress obviously has a lot of admiration for the Oscar-winner, but the idea that she wants to date her just isn’t true. It’s possible the tabloid concocted this bogus narrative because Stewart was photographed gazing at Blanchett during a red carpet event. However, looking fondly at the actress doesn’t indicate that she “would like something more” with her.

Additionally, OK! is hardly a reliable source when it comes to getting accurate news about the actress’s love life. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that Stewart was getting back together with Robert Pattinson. Obviously, that didn’t happen.

More than a year ago, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting that Stewart and Maxwell were planning an outdoor wedding in California. No such ceremony took place. It’s very apparent that the untrustworthy outlet has zero insight into the actress’s relationships. This latest article claiming she hopes to develop a romance with Blanchett is yet another example.
