Kristen Stewart, Drew Barrymore Flirting?

Are Kristen Stewart and Drew Barrymore flirting while working together on the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot? One of the tabloids has come up with that narrative, which is inaccurate on a number of levels. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

According to NW, Barrymore has been helping Stewart prepare for her role in the upcoming reboot of Charlie’s Angels, which is being directed by Elizabeth Banks. Barrymore produced and co-starred in the first two big-screen installments of the action comedy franchise, based on the 1970’s TV series. Meanwhile, the Twilight star is attached to play one of the three leads in the new version.

A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Drew has made no secret of the fact that she likes men and women, and has admired Kristen from afar for years. Everyone’s noticed the chemistry between the two during script reads, they’ve become very close very quickly.” The alleged insider adds, “Everyone thinks that by the end of this movie they could be a bonafide couple.”

The outlet’s rundown of events is false from start to finish. For starters, Barrymore isn’t involved in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot. The actress’s production company developed the 2000 version and its 2003 sequel, but Banks is overseeing the upcoming installment. Although it’s possible Barrymore could make a cameo in the new movie, she’s not playing a role behind the scenes.

Additionally, Stewart hasn’t officially signed on for the reboot just yet. Earlier this month, the actress told Entertainment Tonight she “would love to do it,” but noted, “I hope that that comes together. You never really know that you’re going to be making a movie until you’re, like, standing on that set.” Stewart clearly isn’t participating in script reads for a movie she’s not yet working on.

In addition to just about every detail of the tabloid’s story being provably false, Gossip Cop is also assured by a source close to Barrymore that it’s bogus. The actress isn’t collaborating with Stewart on the reboot of Charlie’s Angels, which isn’t even in production yet. Basically, NW thought it had the opportunity to romantically link Barrymore and Stewart, but then placed the two into a phony scenario without bothering to do any fact-checking.
