Kris Jenner never wrote a “revenge memoir” about Caitlyn Jenner, despite a report from a year ago claiming the reality star was planning to do so. Gossip Cop debunked the story when it first emerged. Time has proven it false.
On May 25, 2017, OK! wrongly reported that Kris was planning to refute many of the claims made in her ex’s memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, by writing her own book about their marriage. It was widely reported that Kris felt Caitlyn’s book showed her in a bad light, but the claimed she would release her own book with stories about Caitlyn being “an absentee dad and a cold and distant husband.”
According to the unreliable magazine, Kris was “deep into writing” her book at this time last year. An alleged source maintained that she had “seven-figure offers” from publishers, and was eager to “get revenge on Cait.” After the outlet’s story was published, Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Kris, who told us on the condition of anonymity that she wasn’t penning a book about Caitlyn and their marriage.
In the 12 months since the tabloid published its bogus article, Kris hasn’t released a “revenge memoir,” nor has she announced any plans to do so. OK!’s report was either entirely fabricated or based on information from unreliable sources. Either way, most tabloid stories don’t age well, and last year’s article about Kris’s nonexistent book is an example of that.
As opposed to writing a book, Kris used “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” to set the record straight on a lot of the claims made in Caitlyn’s memoir. During a June 2017 episode of the reality show, the family matriarch denied “hoarding money” and keeping all of the checks from their TV series, as her ex had alleged. In a December episode of the show, Kris called Caitlyn’s book “mean-spirited,” insisted there were “a lot of inaccuracies” in it and spilled more of her side of the story. Kris didn’t need to write a book to reveal her thoughts on the matter.
It’s also worth noting, OK! has proven to know very little about the reality star’s career plans. Earlier this year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Kris was developing a “KUWTK” spinoff show that would focus on her grandkids. The supposed TV series turned out be as imaginary as Kris’s “revenge memoir.”
