Kim Kardashian still hasn’t “retired” from television, despite a report a year ago claiming she was going to “give up her TV career.” At the time, Gossip Cop was told by a rep for the reality star that the story was “false.” Now time has proven our reporting was correct.

On April 2, 2017, we busted the National Enquirer for alleging Kardashian’s robbery made her want to quit “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Describing her as “over all of it,” a so-called “source” claimed the season that was then airing, the show’s 13th, would be her “last.” The supermarket tabloid’s supposed snitch flat-out declared, “She is planning to retire from the show when the season ends to focus” on her family life and other businesses.

While the gossip magazine relied on an unidentified and untraceable “source” for its tale, Gossip Cop spoke directly with Kardashian’s rep, who assured us she had no intention of retiring from TV. Now 365 days have gone by, and much has happened in the last 12 months that shows just how wrong the outlet was. For starters, after this story was published in April, Kardashian and her sisters signed a huge new TV deal with E! in October to keeping “KUWTK” on the air.

That same month, season 14 of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” premiered, and it just finished airing this past March. Far from season 13 being her last, Kardashian had a prominent storyline throughout season 14 as the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” cameras documented her experience using a surrogate for her third child. Now production is underway for season 15, which will again feature the TV personality. Kardashian was seen filming “KUWTK” with sister Kourtney in February.

Additionally, as opposed to leaving the television business behind, Kardashian actually became more involved in the wake of this provably untrue article. Approximately one month after the erroneous claims came out, it was announced Kardashian was producing “Glam Masters,” a beauty-themed reality competition. The show just debuted on Lifetime this past February, and Kardashian regularly posts about “Glam Masters” on Twitter. Clearly, Kardashian never “retired” or quit TV, and she still has no plans to do so.

Meanwhile, the tabloid has continued spreading misinformation about the mom of three over the last year. That’s included such ridiculous, unsubstantiated claims as Kardashian fired Stephanie Shepherd to save her marriage and wanted to hire an artist so she and Kanye West could be painted for the National Portrait Gallery. If you want to read fiction about the reality star, there’s the National Enquirer. But if you want the facts, stick with Gossip Cop.
