Khloe Kardashian wants a $1 million engagement ring and is planning a September wedding with Tristan Thompson, according to a completely wrong report. Gossip Cop can debunk it. As we and other reputable outlets have already reported, the couple has not decided to get married at this time.
But a headline in the latest issue of Woman’s Day New Zealand announces, “Khloe’s Getting Hitched!” The story claims Kardashian is “willing to forgive and forget” Thompson’s infidelity now that “he’s promised to a put a million-dollar ring on it.” The tabloid alleges the basketball player “apologized for the heartache he caused… and then got down on one knee.”
“Khloe has made it clear she expects him to spend at least $1 million on an engagement ring,” a so-called “pal” is quoted as saying. The supposed friend goes on to contend to the magazine, “The last thing she wants is to be a single mum. That’s why she made it clear to Tristan she expected him to propose.” Of course, given that Kardashian is American, and so are most of the people in her circle, any real source close to her would say “mom,” not “mum.”
In any case, the outlet concludes by alleging Kardashian and Thompson are “reported to be tying the knot in LA on September 1, surrounded by the entire Kardashian clan.” Actually, no credible publications have reported anything about a September wedding. Quite the opposite. Just days ago, People noted that Kardashian could marry Thompson “eventually,” but the respected magazine stressed, “There are no serious wedding talks yet.”
E! Online also confirmed Kardashian is “not rushing” into marriage with Thompson, explaining, “Any conversation or plans” about marrying “have been put to a halt and are not even a discussion.” What’s more is Us Weekly revealed on Friday that Kardashian and Thompson have been “fighting constantly,” and pointed out that her family is still at odds with him. So, not only are the claims of a September wedding false, but it doesn’t even make sense to contend the “entire Kardashian clan” would be in attendance. While the family wants Kardashian to be happy, the couple doesn’t currently have the group’s blessing.
And there is further evidence this tabloid does not know what it is talking about. While now maintaining they’ll be tying the knot in Los Angeles, in April the magazine alleged Kardashian and Thompson were marrying in the Caribbean. Notably, no date was given for those purported nuptials, and the story was filled with additional flaws that we pointed out last month. Now this new piece makes no mention of those wedding plans. Between this inconsistent reporting and the confirmation far from more trusted outlets that Kardashian has yet to decide to marry Thompson, Gossip Cop concludes this latest report is untrue.
