Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson do not have “secret plans to elope,” contrary to an untrue report. Gossip Cop can help set the record straight. While the couple is committed to moving forward after a cheating scandal, they have no imminent plans to wed.

RadarOnline, however, is claiming Kardashian is “desperate to tie the knot” with Thompson, and is “rushing down the aisle in a quickie wedding.” The site alleges the reality star is intending to marry even though her famous family is against the “plans,” and “have made it plain they won’t be attending the ceremony under any circumstances.” And on top of the clan being “not in support of Khloe’s plans for a quickie nuptials,” the blog contends Kardashian is “even willing to give up on her dreams of a big wedding.”

A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Ideally she’d like a splashy white wedding but with nobody in her corner it’ll more likely be a straight elopement instead.” Tellingly, though, despite describing the new mom as “desperate” and repeatedly referring to a “quickie” ceremony, the outlet never actually says just when and where Kardashian will be saying “I do,” besides vaguely claiming she wants to “get hitched this summer.” Perhaps that’s because there aren’t any real elopement “plans” in the works.

People reports that Kardashian wants to marry Thompson “eventually,” but stresses, “There are no serious wedding talks yet.” That goes directly against the notion she’s “rushing down the aisle.” And while the credible magazine has been consistent and accurate in its reporting on the couple, RadarOnline has not. Just a few weeks ago, the online publication was embarrassingly wrong when it claimed Kardashian was “ditching” Thompson and moving back to Los Angeles. Quite obviously, that is far different from this new claim about getting married.

And in further evidence the website was way off base with that prior story, “Entertainment Tonight” reported this week that Kardashian is planning to stay in Cleveland for at least another month. It should also be noted that this isn’t the first time the blog has concocted a Kardashian elopement storyline. In January, the outlet falsely announced Kourtney Kardashian was eloping in a “hush-hush wedding” with Younes Bendjima. Nearly five months have gone by, and that still doesn’t happened.

As these instances, and many more in our archives, show, the publication regularly purports to have insight on the Kardashian family, but the passage of time and reliable reporting from trustworthy media sources often proven its stories are inaccurate. Kardashian and Thompson could end up marrying one day, as People has noted, but the site is wrong about there already being plans for an elopement in the near future.
