Karrueche Tran “Freaked” By Chris Brown Birthday Message Is Made-Up Story

A website is claiming to know Karrueche Tran was “freaked” by Chris Brown allegedly sending her a birthday message. But Gossip Cop is told this story was made-up. In fact, her spokesperson point-blank calls the reaction report “fake.”

On Thursday, Tran celebrated her 30th birthday. The Shade Room was the first to claim Brown surreptitiously offered her birthday wishes by posting a clip of his “Autumn Leaves” music video on Instagram with a party popper emoji before deleting it. The video, which was released in 2015, featured Tran, who was dating Brown at the time. Though it was not confirmed that the singer did, in fact, post and then delete footage of the video, HollywoodLife went with the narrative and even questioned if the alleged social media posting could constitute as a violation of the restraining order Tran has against him.

Now the site is going even further by seemingly pretending to “exclusively” know Tran’s reaction to the purported situation. A so-called “source close to Karrueche” is quoted as saying, “Karrueche’s heard about Chris supposedly posting something for her birthday and it freaks her out.” The blog’s supposed snitch goes on to contend, “All she wants is for Chris to forget about her and leave her alone. She’s praying to God he didn’t really post something for her birthday because if he did, it’s a clear sign he hasn’t really let go and moved on.”

It should be stressed that HollywoodLies, as the outlet is nicknamed for its tendency to manufacture tall tales, still doesn’t know for sure that Brown made the alleged post. And its questionable “source” clearly isn’t sure if he did, either. But readers are supposed to believe someone “close” to Tran is sharing her reaction nonetheless. Gossip Cop is told that’s not actually the case.

“It’s fake,” the actress’ rep exclusively told Gossip Cop when we inquired about the story. Additionally, we also spoke with a member of Tran’s inner circle, who told us that contrary to the claim she’s “freaked” by the supposed birthday posting, she hasn’t really discussed the topic at all. In fact, “she doesn’t mention him ever,” reveals our impeccable contact. Adds our trustworthy confidante, “She ignores it all. She’s happy, honestly.”

That was evident last year, when Tran happily attended the BET Awards even though Brown was also in attendance. And this past December, The Blast reported how the restraining order against Brown was modified to allow them to be in the same place, which they were that month when they both went to mutual pal Teyana Taylor’s birthday party. The bottom line is that she has Tran has indeed moved on, which is why she isn’t having a “source close” to her share her reaction to Brown’s actions with a gossip site.

HollywoodLies was also caught fabricating Tran’s reaction to a new song Brown dropped last fall. At the time, Gossip Cop was assured that no one legitimately connected to her and her camp was bothering to discuss the controversial performer at all. Now history is repeating itself, with the blog again trying to dupe readers with another bogus story.
