Kanye West, Caitlyn Jenner NOT Reconnecting Behind Kim Kardashian’s Back, Despite Reports

Kanye West and Caitlyn Jenner are not reconnecting and having political discussions behind Kim Kardashian’s back, despite reports. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct these claims. We’ve learned they’re not true for a variety of reasons.

According to HollywoodLife, West has been voicing his “controversial opinions” to a very “unlikely friend,” namely Caitlyn Jenner. How does the blog know this? It actually doesn’t. Instead, it lazily picked up a story from the equally unreliable tabloid OK! without bothering to fact-check its claims or get answers before publishing its article. What’s more, the often discredited website freely quoted the magazine’s alleged “insider” as saying, “Cait, being Republican, understands where Kanye is coming from… and there’s no judgement.”

After noting how Jenner and her ex-wife Kris aren’t “on the best of terms,” the same supposed source asserts that West is “keeping his conversations private from his wife” because Kardashian is “loyal to her mom and wants nothing to do with Cait.” “Kanye’s just happy to talk to someone who gets him, and Cait feels the same way,” explains the unnamed and seemingly nonexistent “insider.” HollywoodLies, as it’s nicknamed, then has its own clearly manufactured “source” add that Jenner was “proud” of West for his “brave” tweets in support of President Trump because she knows “how hard it can be to have unpopular opinions in the Kardashian family.”

Interestingly, at the end of HollywoodLies’ article it notes that Jenner’s rep wouldn’t comment to the website about whether the former Olympian was reconnecting and talking politics with West. Perhaps that’s because the site rarely ever fact-checks and has published so many provably untrue and made-up stories about Jenner. Conversely, her rep readily assured Gossip Cop the blog’s report is 100 percent “false.” Jenner and West are not making secret calls to each other to talk politics, and they most assuredly are not doing it behind Kardashian’s back.

A few points bear mentioning. HollywoodLies accidentally exposes how it really does not have Jenner sources. For instance, the site’s quotes from its make-believe insider about how Jenner was “proud” of West’s support of Trump were already deemed “fake.” And logically, if the outlet actually had a real Jenner source, who allegedly fed it information about how she knows it’s hard to have “unpopular opinions in the Kardashian family,” wouldn’t that person know whether or not she was really speaking to West instead of having to say “reportedly”?

In reality, Jenner distanced herself from Trump more than a year ago after the president rolled back federal protections for transgender students. She explained at the time, “My loyalties and my fights are not going to be with the Republican party. My loyalties are with my community and fighting for my community.” And exactly a week ago, Jenner slammed Trump in Britain’s House Of Commons, stating the president’s stance on transgender members of the military has sent her community “back 20 years.”

There’s one other major piece of evidence to prove Jenner and West are not “blowing up their phones at night talking,” as the tabloid maintained in its article, “Kanye & Cait’s Late-Night Chats,” and which served as the basis for HollywoodLife’s bogus report. On Tuesday, West tweeted he “got rid” of his phone for the past two weeks so he could focus on his album, which he plans to release on May 25. Whoops.
