Justin Theroux is not pursuing Emma Stone following his split from Jennifer Aniston, despite a completely untrue tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this nonsense. We’re told it’s false.

Theroux sat next to Stone at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show earlier this month, which has prompted NW to create a nonexistent romance between the two. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Justin seemed very into Emma. He kept leaning over to talk to her. It was obvious that he was flirting with her.”

According to the questionable source, Aniston became very upset when she learned her estranged husband supposedly “cozied up” to Stone at the show. “She thought he was more respectful than that,” a so-called “friend” of the actress tells the outlet. “It really hurts.” The supposed tipster goes on to say that Aniston has nothing to worry about because “Emma would never” betray her, but the situation still stings.

Gossip Cop, however, is told by a source close to the situation that the tabloid’s account of events is simply “not true.” Theroux wasn’t flirting with Stone at the fashion show, nor is her pursuing her romantically. The two are just friendly, having recently worked together on the upcoming Netflix series “Maniac.” Also, the co-stars didn’t attend the fashion show together. They were sitting in the celebrity ambassador section along with guests such as Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connelly and several fashion executives. Additionally, Stone is currently dating “Saturday Night Live” writer Dave McCary.

It’s worth noting, NW has an ongoing narrative about Aniston’s estranged husband chasing other famous women following their breakup. Gossip Cop recently busted the publication for falsely claiming Theroux was “hitting on” Selena Gomez. Shortly before that nonsense, we called out the magazine for ridiculously alleging the actor was getting close to Angelina Jolie.

In the short time since Theroux and Aniston separated, the actor has also been wrongly linked to photographer Petra Collins and fashion designer Alexa Chung. Oddly enough, this also isn’t the first time we’ve had to debunk an article linking Stone to one of her “Maniac” co-stars. Gossip Cop recently corrected a bogus story about the actress wanting to date the show’s leading man, Jonah Hill. This latest article surrounding Theroux and Stone is more fiction.
