A story about Jennifer Aniston having “boozy nights & ice cream binges” with Courteney Cox was seemingly made-up. While the actress is leaning on her best friend as she copes with her separation from Justin Theroux, the alleged details here are largely inaccurate. Gossip Cop can bust the report.

According to RadarOnline, Aniston is “ditching her diets for desserts after her bombshell split.” The website specifically alleges that in the wake of the breakup, she and Cox “teamed up” and have been “indulging nearly every night on bottles of booze and ice cream binges.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “They’ve been spending a lot of nights together talking it over with a couple of bottles of wine and a pint of ice cream.”

The blog goes on to claim that Aniston is normally “ultra-cautious about what she eats and drinks,” but its supposed snitch maintains “she couldn’t care less right now.” In addition, the site’s purported tipster contends, “She’s not working and is spending almost all her free time with Courteney at this point.” But it seems the outlet has taken common post-breakup coping mechanisms and merely applied them to Aniston.

Sure, many people drink and eat ice cream with a pal following a split. But Gossip Cop hears no one shared such real details about the “Friends” co-stars with this online publication. Aniston has been relying on friends, and she does often spend time at Cox’s home, but that’s not all her life has become now. Contrary to the claim that she’s not working on anything, Aniston has been developing her upcoming Apple show with Reese Witherspoon. Furthermore, far from being bloated from binging on booze and ice cream, Aniston looked radiant when she attended Molly McNearney’s star-studded birthday party a few days ago.

In other words, aside from stating the already-known information about Aniston spending time with Cox, none of the website’s other claims actually hold up. That’s hardly surprising given the blog has been churning out articles incessantly in the wake of the split with most revealed to be untrue. For example, last week Aniston’s rep exclusively told Gossip Cop it was “another fabrication” when the site claimed she was offering Theroux “hush money.”

And before that, we exposed how the outlet was lying when it asserted Aniston’s family said they liked her ex-husband Brad Pitt more than Theroux. Those are just two examples, with many other recent ones viewable in our archives. That is to say, fans shouldn’t be counting on RadarOnline for reliable Aniston insight.
