A new report claiming Jamie Foxx “does not like” that Katie Holmes has been “talking” to former “Dawson’s Creek” co-star Joshua Jackson is both late and wrong. Gossip Cop can once again debunk this bogus narrative. It’s based on an entirely false premise.
Earlier this week, Gossip Cop called out both In Touch and Life & Style for falsely claiming Foxx was upset about Holmes and Jackson “talking again.” According to the unreliable magazines, concertgoers at Coachella overheard the actor “venting” his frustration about Holmes renewing a friendship with her former co-star, who she briefly dated during the early run of the late ’90s series.
The untrustworthy publications further contended “tension has been high” between Foxx and Holmes ever since the “Dawson’s Creek” cast reunion, where the actress supposedly rekindled her friendship with Jackson. This account of events was based on information from anonymous and seemingly nonexistent “sources,” but Holmes’ rep told Gossip Cop on the record that it was fabricated. The actress’s spokesperson explained she isn’t in regular contact with her former co-star, who she hadn’t seen in years prior to last month’s reunion.
Unfortunately, Celebrity Insider is now spreading this phony premise online. The blog didn’t bother to do any actual reporting, but instead regurgitates the tabloid articles that we already corrected. The site speculates that Holmes and Foxx are “on the verge of a split” and “second guessing their future” based on her supposedly reconnecting with Jackson. The disreputable site echoes additional claims about Foxx being “hurt” and “jealous” over the situation.
Once again, Holmes’ rep already told us that she and Jackson aren’t really in touch, so the assertion that Foxx is upset about a nonexistent relationship is illogical. Additionally, reliable outlets such as People have noted that Foxx and Holmes aren’t “a couple in the traditional sense.” The two are said to have a casual relationship with “no obligations” and “no requirements,” so the actor obviously wouldn’t prevent her from having other friends. Regardless, Holmes and Jackson don’t have much to do with each other, so the whole story is based on lies.
It’s worth noting, in the wake of last month’s “Dawson’s Creek” reunion, Star also attempted to create a nonexistent love triangle between the subjects of this article. Last week, Gossip Cop debunked the magazine’s cover story claiming Holmes had “dumped” Foxx for Jackson. Holmes’ rep shot down the claim, and Jackson’s spokesperson described the ridiculous report as “hilarious.” A few days after we corrected the story, Foxx and Holmes were spotted on a date night in New York City.
