"Ho, you can't act a color," Honey Boo Boo says.
Honey Boo Boo addressed social media criticism that she's trying to "act black."
"Let me just tell y'all, somebody just told me to stop acting black in my comments," Honey Boo Boo said in a video captured by The Shade Room. It appears to be from one of her Instagram stories.
"Honey, the last thing that I am is black, honey. I'm white. Look at my face, hun. I'm white," she added.

"I want to know how the f-ck you act a color?" the 12-year-old reality star continued. "Like, oh you wake up one day and be like, 'Hm, let's see! I'm gonna be purple."
"Ho, you can't act a color," she then said. "You can be a color, but you can't act a color."

After the video was shared on The Shade Room's Instagram page, many of their followers seemed to agree with the former beauty queen.
"She's southern. This is how southerners speak. Some people need to get educated," one person wrote. "Lmfaoooooo she's hilarious. She right tho. She and her family been this way," added another.
"I don't understand how she is acting black because I'm black and I don't talk like that. Help me understand," another person said. "It's Annoying How Acting Ratchet is Refered To As Acting Black. Ratchet Can Be Any Race, Don't Associate it With Being Black," wrote another.
