Hillary fans and haters take to Twitter as Grammys sketch shows the political divide between Americans runs deep.

Hillary Clinton may have had the most unexpected and polarizing cameo appearance during the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, reading a portion of Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" in a pre-taped sketch poking fun at President Donald Trump.

The bit began by host James Corden predicting the bestselling look "Inside the Trump White House" would be next year's spoken word winner, and so he was auditioning narrators. Clinton was the last of the celebrity readers, after John Legend, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Snoop Dogg and Cher, reading out a segment about Trump's alleged fast food habits and poison fears.

The president didn't respond Sunday night, but others in his administration did, with eldest son Don Jr. saying that Clinton's appearance "seems like a great consolation prize." Also responding was UN ambassador Nikki Haley, who tweeted that the moment "ruined the Grammys."

Getting to read a #fakenews book excerpt at the Grammys seems like a great consolation prize for losing the presidency. #GrammyAwards

The more Hillary goes on television the more the American people realize how awesome it is to have @realDonaldTrump in office #GrammyAwards2018

I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.

President Trump has not tweeted since early Sunday morning, so his reaction may yet be forthcoming. In his stead, though, plenty of supporters on both sides of the political spectrum came out for and against Clinton's cameo appearance. As usual, the moment did nothing to ease tensions on either side, instead entrenching them deeper into their respective ideologies. Below are some of their loudest voices.

OPPOSITION

CBS made a major mistake allowing Hillary Clinton to bash President Trump during a skit on The Grammys. Satire is one thing, stark partisanship is another matter, a serious matter for a network that is supposed to broadcast fairly. No Spin analysis on https://t.co/fqUvO5EEW0.

Of all people Hillary Clinton knows what it is like to be the subject of a book filled with rumors and invention and marketed to a partisan audience eager to believe every word.

Next time a liberal talks about Trump being "unpresidential" point to Hillary this last weekend, first with her "bitches supporting bitches" video, then her insults-for-yuks against the president at the Grammys. Stay classy, Hillary.

The entire nation would have benefit if Hillary Clinton spend her time at the #GRAMMYs to read out loud her 33K deleted emails, instead of reading a discredited salacious book.

Does anyone realize how dumb the attendees at the #Grammys2018 #Grammys were last night. They applauded and praised Hillary Clinton.
The same woman that cheated Bernie Sanders out of the Democratic nomination. You can't make this up
