Gwyneth Paltrow Says Brad Pitt Threatened To Kill Harvey Weinstein In 1995

People says Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on The Howard Stern Show this week, and she spoke about her experience with Harvey Weinstein and subsequent confession to her then-boyfriend Brad. Gwyneth admitted last October to The New York Times that she had a shitty run-in with Harvey when she was 22. Harvey had just hired her for Emma, and he requested a meeting with her in his suite at a hotel in Beverly Hills. He allegedly put his hands on her asking for a massage in his bedroom, which she says she declined. Gwyneth said at the time that she told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt what happened, and he responded by “confronting” Harvey at a movie premiere. Gwyneth has a few more details to add to that story about the confrontation.
Gwyneth told Howard Stern that it actually happened at the Broadway premiere of Hamlet in 1995. Gwyneth had already told Brad about the “weird” experience she had in Harvey’s hotel room. When Brad found Harvey at the Hamlet premiere, Gwyneth says Brad threatened him to the effect of: “If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.” Gwyneth adds:
“It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically. It was so fantastic because what he did was, he leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet. He’s the best.”
This is the first time Gwyneth has implied that Brad threatened to kill Harvey. One source previously told People that Brad got in Harvey’s face, poked him in the chest, and “made it clear” there would be consequences if Harvey did anything to Gwyneth again. The source described it as a “Missouri whooping.” Really? That’s what a Missouri whooping is? A stern talking-to with an aggressively pointed finger by a handsome WASP-y blond really seems more like something called a Connecticut throw-down.
