Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have had their ups and downs throughout their lifelong friendship, but Demi’s mom is promising that there will “always” be love between the stars.
“Demi and Selena love each other and always will love each other,” Dianna De La Garza revealed to People, squashing rumors of an ongoing feud between the BFFs.
“There’s nothing that will ever come between them,” she said.
In the new interview, she revealed Demi and Selena were “like sisters” growing up, and that their friendship played a huge part in both of their early careers.
“Selena and Demi were auditioning for the same things because they were the same age, they were both Hispanic, they both had dark hair — so she ended up going to a lot of auditions with us,” she recalled. “They started out together! We had some great times together. They will always will love each other.”
