It’s all about the girl power!
After recently dropping brand-new music video for “Warrior” off the “A Wrinkle In Time” soundtrack (which also features songs by music industry moguls like Demi Lovato!), singing sister duo Chloe x Halle took to their Instagram account to share the inspiration behind the uplifting and empowering track! The totally talented teens, who play Jazz and Sky on Freeform’s “Grown-ish” alongside Yara Shahidi, opened up about what being a warrior really means to them:
Chloe: What inspired my sister and I for “Warrior”? I would definitely have to say the incredible women in our life. For me, it would have to be my sister and my mom and even our Nana and our Grandma Elizabeth. They inspire us to keep going as strong women who paved the way for us. We’re warriors and we just wanted to articulate how they have inspired us to look inside ourselves and see the warrior inside us.
Halle: Telling your story is really important, and it’s especially important as young women because we look to other women who have been through what we’re going through now and we can learn so many things…[like] letting go of all that doubt that’s inside yourself as a young woman. It’s a reminder. It’s a mantra! I can be a warrior! Yes, I am a warrior.
