A report claiming Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan split due to “bitter fights and jealousy” is completely false. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. Reps for both stars tell us it’s not the reason behind their breakup.

On Monday, Tatum and Dewan announced they had separated after nearly nine years of marriage. RadarOnline is now purporting to have the “exclusive” explanation behind the couple’s split. The unreliable blog alleges that the pair’s marriage was full of “dark secrets” that included battles over the actor flirting with female fans right in front of his wife.

The untrustworthy outlet further claims that Dewan didn’t trust her husband around other women, especially when he was away working on a film. Gossip Cop, however, is told by the actress’s spokesperson that this narrative is “totally inaccurate and pure fabricated gossip.” A rep for the actor similarly assures us, “This is all completely untrue.”

In fact, sources told The New York Post that Tatum and Dewan’s split was primarily a result of him “working non-stop.” Insiders say distance and time apart took a toll on their marriage, especially while trying to balance their schedules to co-parent their young daughter. Jealousy and resentment simply weren’t the issues.

Additionally, when Tatum and Dewan announced their separation on Monday, the exes made a point of noting there are “no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision.” They added, “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another.” The newly-estranged spouses went on to say they’re still “best friends,” but need to take some space “and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.” Clearly, there’s no major drama or battles happening.

It’s also worth noting, the exes reportedly split several months ago, but they’ve remained on good terms. Last month, Dewan took their daughter Everly to see Tatum on stage at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Shortly after that, the actor posted an Instagram photo of him and his estranged wife covered in face paint thanks to their 4-year-old daughter. The exes probably wouldn’t be so cordial if their breakup was as contentious as the blog claims. Regardless, Gossip Cop can confirm that RadarOnline’s account of events is fabricated.
