Caitlyn Jenner, Sophia Hutchins Still NOT Dating, Despite Claims

Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins are still not dating, despite new claims. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight once again. A rep for the former Olympian tells us on the record that there is no romantic relationship between the two women. Such allegations remain false.

It was first alleged last October that Jenner and Hutchins were dating, when RadarOnline wrongly labeled Hutchins the star’s “new girlfriend.” At the time, Jenner’s spokesperson told Gossip Cop, “Caitlyn isn’t dating anyone. Sophia is a friend amongst many others.” But the rumors cropped up again in December, with the clueless blog Celebrity Insider maintaining Jenner and Hutchins were dating. The narrative was still untrue, with Jenner’s rep stressing to us that the pair were “just good friends.”

Now here we are in April and publications are once more speculating about their dynamic. The site PopCulture.com, for example, is asking in a headline, “Is Caitlyn Jenner Dating Model Sophia Hutchins?” The article begins, “Even after Caitlyn Jenner denied dating model Sophia Hutchins in November, fans think there’s more than friendship going on between the two.” Of course, it doesn’t really matter what “fans think.” All that matters is the truth.

Writing about a possible “romantic connection” between the pair, the website notes, “Despite Jenner’s denial of anything more than a friendship, the couple sparked rumors again on April 12, when she took Hutchins as her date for the 2018 GLAAD Awards.” Jenner and Hutchins are not a “couple,” and there’s nothing strange about Hutchins, who is transgender, attending a GLAAD event. It’s even more clear the outlet doesn’t know what it’s talking about when it asserts Jenner was previously “linked romantically to pal Candis Cayne.”

As Gossip Cop has reported multiple times, there was no romance between Cayne and Jenner, just like there isn’t between Jenner and Hutchins. Yet In Touch is similarly fueling this storyline with an online piece titled, “There’s Even More Evidence That Caitlyn Jenner Is Dating a 21-Year-Old Model and We’re Like, Get It, Girl!” The tabloid refers to “proof of a relationship,” but really has none. All the magazine can point to is Jenner and Hutchins hanging out together.

But as millions of people across the world can attest, pals can regularly spend time together without there being a romance between them. Jenner and Hutchins enjoy spending time at each other’s homes and traveling with one another. That’s what friends often do. It’s not as if they’ve been seen engaging in inherently romantic behavior. That’s because their relationship is platonic. Gossip Cop even checked in with Jenner’s rep again for an update, and the spokesperson deems the pair “friends and business associates.” Just because “fans think” otherwise doesn’t make it true.

It should also be noted that in Jenner’s ITV interview with Piers Morgan, which was broadcast earlier this year, she was asked about the prospect of being in a relationship and finding love again now that she’s transitioned. She responded, “I don’t think I would ever, no. I don’t see it in my future.” Should something change, Gossip Cop will update.
