Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston NOT Caught Kissing Or “Back On,” Despite Report

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were not caught kissing. They’re not “back on,” either. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk a new tabloid cover story.
Star is peddling a deceptive cover that touts a “world exclusive.” The front of the issue features what appears to be a picture of Aniston and Pitt kissing (see above). But this is a digital manipulation. The gossip magazine seemingly took an old photo of Aniston kissing Jason Bateman on the set of The Switch in 2009, darkened it and photoshopped it together with a separate picture of Pitt who had posed with Angelina Jolie in 2010. Pitt and Aniston actually haven’t been photographed together in more than a decade.
The outlet, however, is trying to trick readers with the fake photo, and the accompanying story is just as much a lie. The premise is that the exes have “secretly rekindled their relationship with a little help from a famous friend,” namely George Clooney. A so-called “pal” is quoted as saying Pitt and Aniston have been “secretly getting together for late-night hookups, and it’s all because of George.” How so? The publication’s supposed source contends “George was the first person to call” Pitt after his marriage to Jolie “imploded,” and then when Aniston announced her split from Justin Theroux, he allegedly “encouraged Brad to reach out and give their relationship another chance.”
The tabloid goes on to claim Clooney “engineered the exes’ first undercover rendezvous on March 3,” during a “private pre-Oscar party in Beverly Hills.” After he and Pitt supposedly attended the bash, Clooney dropped him at Aniston’s Bel-Air home, alleges the magazine. Going forward, the aforementioned “pal” maintains “Jen wants to keep the reunion under the radar,” since “the last thing she wants is even more scrutiny” following her separation from Theroux. That, of course, is the outlet’s built-in explanation for why she and Pitt won’t actually be seen together. And, notably, that also proves what Gossip Cop said above: The apparent kissing photo is totally bogus.
In fact, this entire cover story is phony. But it’s hardly original. Star is trying to dupe fans by copying a debunked story from New Idea. More than a week ago, that disreputable publication falsely claimed Clooney was getting Pitt and Aniston back together. The basics of the assertions then and now are the same: Clooney encouraged Pitt to make a move, and after hanging out together one night, the actor ended up at Aniston’s home. The contentions, however, were completely fabricated, Gossip Cop confirmed with a Clooney confidante.
Now a rep for Clooney is further denying the Oscar winner has any involvement in Pitt and Aniston reconciling, which, of course, they’re not, as a spokesperson for Pitt now confirms to Gossip Cop. As has already been reliably reported by People, Aniston and Pitt haven’t even seen one another in “ages.” It’s only in the fictional world of the gossip media that readers are wrongly led to believe otherwise.
