Bethenny Frankel Wants You to Adopt the Puppies She Is Rescuing from Puerto Rico Right Now
April 23, 2018Bethenny Frankel is back in Puerto Rico and she packed her love for dogs.
The Real Housewives of New York City star traveled to Puerto Rico, specifically the Piñones region, to help the territory rebuild with her program B Strong Disaster Relief.
In October 2017, Frankel traveled to Puerto Rico to help those affected by Hurricane Maria, also chartering four planes packed with supplies to the island.
On her current trip, Frankel is helping Puerto Rico’s furry residents too. While providing aid in Piñones, the reality star came across a stray puppy.

“Please go to my instastory and see the adorable street puppy nestled in a tree. I am seeing whose he is before I shove him in my cross body purse,” Frankel Tweeted on April 21.
A little detective work revealed that the puppy had a friend and that both were in desperate need of medical care and forever homes. Since then, Frankel has been hard at work to help the pups and their parents, keeping her followers up to date online.

Thanks to her patient driver, Frankel has been able to get Tree and Blanco to the vet, where, according to her Twitter, they were diagnosed with fleas, ticks and anemia.

The animal lover didn’t stop with the baby dogs, though. Thanks to a tip from a Twitter follower, she is working with Puerto Rico-based dog rescue The Sato Project to help care for the mother, who has a bad case of mange, and the father of the puppies, along with any other dogs found in the same area.

Frankel is set to return to home on Tuesday, but before she takes off she is working on finding homes for all of the canines — organizing the necessary travel papers to expedite the process — and reaching out to her social media followers for help. She has already received several enthusiastic responses, but there is surely room for more.
