Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Giving Marriage A Second Shot?

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are not giving their marriage “a second shot,” despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not true.

According to NW, the estranged spouses recently “decided
 to revive their marriage” after spending quality time together with their kids. A so-called “source” tells the magazine the pair also grew close again while hitting the gym together, and Affleck “has Jen to thank for whipping him into shape.” The alleged insider adds, “He always leaned on her to help him focus on his workouts, as well as eating healthy and well-balanced meals.”

After insisting the exes are rekindling their romance, the unreliable tipster then backpedals by saying Affleck is still “hanging onto the hope that they’ll get back together and give things another shot, and Jen isn’t ruling it out.” The seemingly nonexistent insider concludes that Garner “would love for them
 to be a family again” and also misses having her husband around for “those lazy Sunday mornings in bed.”

This account of the situation simply isn’t factual. Affleck and Garner remain on very good terms as they work together to co-parent their three children, but they’re not getting back together as a couple. When the exes spend time together, it’s with their three kids, not just the two of them working out in the gym.

Earlier this month, Garner brought the children to visit Affleck in Hawaii, where he’s shooting the upcoming Netflix movie Triple Frontier. As Us Weekly reported, the vacation was “strictly because of their three kids.” Garner stayed at a resort, while her estranged husband remained in a nearby house. If the two were truly “reviving their marriage,” they probably wouldn’t be under separate roofs.

Additionally, Affleck is still in a relationship with Lindsay Shookus. The “Saturday Night Live” producer was in Hawaii on Saturday while the actor threw a Hawaiian luau for the cast and crew of Triple Frontier. Shookus reportedly arrived in town earlier that week, and she was also spotted holding hands with her boyfriend during a hike in Honolulu last month.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actor, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that Affleck and Garner are still moving forward with their divorce, which was filed in April 2017. We’re told the exes are very cordial and totally focused on their kids, not rekindling a romance. The outlet’s bogus article appears to be nothing more than fan fiction surrounding the famous exes.
