Angelina Jolie Did NOT Turn Down Meeting With Jennifer Aniston, Despite Old And Fake News

Angelina Jolie did not turn down a meeting with Jennifer Aniston, despite a false story that Gossip Cop already debunked. We can once again correct this old, fake news. There’s no truth to it.
On Wednesday, Gossip Cop busted In Touch for publishing a false story about Aniston inviting Jolie out to dinner to resolve the past. As the story goes, Aniston wanted to finally sit down with the actress in the wake of their respective divorces from Justin Theroux and Brad Pitt. Jolie, however, was said to have rejected the offer.
None of this ever took place. Gossip Cop was assured by a source close to the situation that Aniston never asked Jolie to meet. Unfortunately, that hasn’t stopped HollywoodLife from regurgitating the false narrative without bothering to do any fact-checking. The unreliable blog reiterates all of the magazine’s bogus claims. For example, the article contends that Jolie refused to meet with the actress because she’s furious about her reuniting with Pitt. Only, Aniston hasn’t seen her ex-husband in a long time, so there’s clearly no validity to any of this.
HollywoodLies, as it’s known, has a habit of spreading untrue stories printed by the tabloids. Gossip Cop busted the site earlier on Thursday for parroting a phony Star report about George Clooney setting up Aniston and Pitt on “secret late-night meetings.” Shortly before that, the untrustworthy site mimicked an In Touch story alleging that Aniston had met Pitt’s kids, which obviously never happened.
It’s worth noting, the blog frequently pretends to have “exclusive” insider knowledge about all of these stars, and yet, the site still spreads fake news coming from other outlets. If HollywoodLies had actual sources, it wouldn’t be repeating all of the false claims found in the tabloids. As Gossip Cop has noted, no one in Aniston, Jolie or Pitt’s trusted inner circle is speaking to the blog about their personal lives.
Of course, the gossip publications frequently come up with false scenarios surrounding Pitt’s two exes. There was an increase in this practice after Aniston and Jolie both presented at the Golden Globes in January. This week’s tale of a nonexistent dinner invite is just the latest in the ongoing saga of lies.
