In a recent interview, the “13 Reasons Why” star opened up about auditioning for the show and being cast in her role. Alisha revealed that, originally, she auditioned for Hannah and couldn’t believe it when they wanted her to play the popular girl!
She also talked about the show’s impact on social media and how its continued success has affected the cast’s personal lives.
“None of us knew that would happen. We knew that it was Netflix, and we knew the people were behind it, and that it had a following because of the book and because Selena Gomez’s name was attached to it. So we knew it would get some attention. But we had no idea.”
