May 2, 2018Now We Know Why Blake Lively Deleted Instagram Posts and Unfollowed Ryan Reynolds
It looks like the actress is following her husband's lead by using her Instagram to market new movie "A Simple Favor."
Blake Lively wiped clean everything she's ever posted on Instagram earlier this week, and now we have an idea why.
On Wednesday morning, the actress dropped the teaser trailer for her new thriller, "A Simple Favor," which she stars as a missing woman, named Emily Nelson, alongside Anna Kendrick, who plays the best friend trying to track down Emily.

Well, not only did Lively delete her content on the social media platform, she also stopped following husband Ryan Reynolds and started following dozens of profiles of people named Emily Nelson.
Publicity stunt? We think it's a safe bet at this point to assume she may have learned a few viral marketing tricks from Reynolds, who continues to use his personal platforms to promote the "Deadpool" franchise, and she's taking a stab at doing something similar.
We look forward to watching this experiment unfold out of simple curiosity if she can compete with Reynolds' remarkable ability to execute a movie marketing campaign on social media.
Reynolds did what he does best and didn't take it remotely seriously when asked about being unfollowed by his own wife.
"It definitely stings. It's a terrible way to find out that I've been kicked out of the house, to be honest," Reynolds said during a recent appearance on "Smallzy's Surgery," a show in Australia. "Absolutely terrible. I don't know where rage like that comes from."

We're waiting to see what Lively does with her Instagram account next, but for now, we're digging this mysterious trailer, which makes Lively's character look like a complete badass.
"I do consider Emily my best friend," Kendrick is heard saying in the teaser. "She is this wonderful, elegant person. Five days ago, Emily went missing. I'm realizing I don't know her as well as I thought I did."
"A Simple Favor" hits theaters September 14.
