Brad Pitt and Neri Oxman are not teaming up on a “romantic” architecture project, despite a bogus tabloid report. The article claims the actor and MIT professor are designing a “love nest” together, but a rep for Pitt tells Gossip Cop that’s completely false.
According to the National Enquirer, the actor is planning to build a “one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece” with Oxman, who teaches art, architecture and design at the prestigious MIT Media Lab. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Brad’s not only inspired, he’s entranced with the brilliant brunette beauty.”
The outlet’s questionable source further contends that Pitt and Oxman have “been secretly scouting location sites, looking for a perfect spot to make their artistic vision a groundbreaking reality.” The seemingly nonexistent tipster adds, “He’s nuts about Neri. He wants to build a palace with her… Their ‘special project’ is Brad’s dream come true.”
As Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, the movie star and professor aren’t dating. Pitt’s own spokesperson has told us this on the record several times, and trusted entertainment publications have backed it up. E! News recently reported that Pitt and Oxman are “strictly friends,” while People similarly stated that Pitt and Oxman’s friendship “is not romantic in nature.”
Even if the two were to team up on an architecture project, it certainly wouldn’t be a “love nest.” Of course, this outlet’s narrative is coming from an anonymous and almost assuredly made-up “source.” Meanwhile, Pitt’s rep tells Gossip Cop on the record that there’s “no truth” to the tabloid’s tale and that he’s not designing any type of structure with her at all.
It’s true that the pair met last year through a project at MIT, but they have no plans to construct a building together. Nor have they been “secretly scouting” locations. It’s telling that the unreliable magazine provides zero details about the areas where they’re supposedly exploring.
Unfortunately, the National Enquirer has been pushing a nonexistent romance between Pitt and Oxman ever since the news broke last month that he had visited her MIT class in November 2017. For example, Gossip Cop recently busted the publication for falsely claiming Angelina Jolie was “furious” about Pitt and Oxman’s relationship, and that she might even use it against him in their custody negotiations. And one month before the tabloid discovered the MIT professor existed, the outlet had wrongly reported Pitt had reunited with Jennifer Aniston. The untrustworthy magazine, which seems to change its narrative whenever it’s convenient, clearly has no real insight into the actor’s personal life.
