Two Black Men Arrested At Philadelphia Starbucks Settle Lawsuit ***For Only $2***! Find Out Why!

You were probably as appalled as we were last month at the viral video of two black men being arrested at Starbucks for absolutely no reason.

The manager who called the police simply because the two men hadn't ordered anything while waiting for their friend was clearly in the wrong — and Starbucks is taking some responsibility for that.

But it was the police who did the arresting when they should have asked the manager to stop wasting their time with racist phobias.

So Rashon Nelson and Donte Robinson had a strong case for wrongful arrest — but instead they've reached a settlement. For $1 each.

WTF??

Yes, the two 23-year-old real estate brokers agreed to settle for less than the price of a cup of coffee — or even a cake pop — on one very big condition…

The city must now set up a $200,000 fund to help young entrepreneurs.

Partnering with a nonprofit, Philadelphia will grant money to young people in the community looking to learn how to become business owners. Nelson and Robinson will serve on the committee to award the grant; they will receive no payment for this work.

Mayor Jim Kenney said:

"I am pleased to have resolved the potential claims against the City in this productive manner. This was an incident that evoked a lot of pain in our City, pain that would've resurfaced over and over again in protracted litigation, which presents significant legal risks and high financial and emotional costs for everyone involved."

He also revealed it was Nelson and Robinson's idea; he says they approached the city with the notion "in an attempt to make something positive come of this."

Robinson himself says he and Nelson are looking to make real change, not get rich quick:

"We thought long and hard about it and we feel like this is the best way to see that change that we want to see. It's not a right-now thing that's good for right now, but I feel like we will see the true change over time."

Good for them!
