Angelina Jolie is not regretting her divorce from Brad Pitt now that he’s allegedly “fallen for” Neri Oxman, despite a bogus report. This entire story is based on a false premise. As Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, the actor and MIT professor aren’t dating.
According to RadarOnline, Jolie is upset about her estranged husband’s supposed romance with Oxman, so much so that she now believes it was a mistake “letting him go.” A so-called “source” tells the site that the actress isn’t happy about Pitt having a “newfound independence” in the wake of his relationship with the professor.
The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say that Jolie previously enjoyed having “the upper hand” in their split, but now she feels her estranged husband has it. The actress is said to be particularly annoyed that Pitt didn’t “wind up with a bimbo or some pretty young thing,” but instead “an intellect like Neri.”
The seemingly made-up tipster concludes that Jolie is also jealous about George Clooney and his wife Amal planning to go on “double dates” with Pitt and Oxman. Of course, nothing about this story is remotely true. First and foremost, the movie star and professor aren’t a couple. Pitt’s spokesperson has told Gossip Cop on the record several times that he’s not dating Oxman.
Several reputable outlets have also confirmed the two aren’t an item. People recently noted that Pitt and Oxman have a “professional friendship,” while E! News similarly stated that Pitt and Oxman are “strictly friends.” Simply put, Jolie isn’t troubled by an imaginary romance.
Also, the blog recently came up with a different angle regarding the actress’s reaction to her estranged husband’s (nonexistent) new girlfriend. Gossip Cop called out the site last month for falsely claiming Jolie was so furious over Pitt’s relationship with Oxman that she planned to use it against him in their custody negotiations. Less than two weeks after the actress allegedly wanted to take her estranged husband’s kids from him, the site is purporting she actually wants to call off their divorce.
RadarOnline won’t give up this phony narrative about Pitt dating the professor, who he met last year while collaborating on a architecture project at MIT. But the blog’s countless articles on the subject have been based on anonymous, untraceable and almost assuredly fake “sources.” Pitt’s own rep tells Gossip Cop there’s no romance between the two, and that’s been echoed by other trusted entertainment outlets.
