David Hockney, a portrait of the portrait artist at 80: ‘I’m still curious’

The painter's new LACMA show has 82 portraits, a range of faces that include art patrons and museum curators as well as his housekeeper and cook. When you're drawing someone else, Hockney says, "it's their mood and your mood together that creates whatever's there."
