Keith Urban is not begging Nicole Kidman to take a break from work to save their supposedly fractured marriage, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. The actress’s rep has told us numerous times her relationship is going strong.

According to NW, the famous couple’s 12-year marriage “is hanging by a thread,” and Kidman’s busy work schedule is contributing to the alleged problem. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “He really wants her to take time off so they can spend more time together as a family. He knows they can get back to where they were
 if they work at it.”

The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say that Kidman, who’s been shooting the second season of “Big Little Lies” in California, refuses to scale back her work commitments, and her husband is becoming fed up with their time apart. This narrative, however, is provably untrue. During an interview on Brisbane’s 97.3FM in February, Urban revealed he and Kidman “try and schedule pretty much everything so that we’re not away from each other for more than a hand full of days.”

Additionally, it’s not like Urban just sits at home while his wife is off working. The country music star has a busy schedule of his own. Urban will be embarking on a concert tour later this month that will require him to travel around the country. But as the musician himself stressed, he’ll make sure to spend plenty of time with is wife, despite both of their professional commitments.

As for the tabloid’s assertion the couple’s marriage “is hanging by a thread,” Kidman and Urban performed a duet in Nashville on Monday night for a Spotify event. Just days before, Kidman and Urban cuddled up at a Nashville Predators hockey game. Not only is this an example of how the busy duo make time for each other, but it’s also clear evidence they haven’t been at odds.

In addition to it being apparent that Kidman and Urban are very happy together, the actress’s own spokesperson has repeatedly told Gossip Cop they’re not headed for a split, and all claims otherwise are completely “false.” NW is basing its story on an anonymous and seemingly nonexistent “source,” but Kidman’s rep says on the record there’s no truth to the tale of marital drama. The actress and country star’s frequent red carpet PDA, joint appearances and interviews about their strong bond is further proof.
