Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban “Over”?

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are not “over,” despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim about them getting a divorce. We’re told it’s entirely “false.”
According to a Woman’s Day cover story, Kidman and Urban’s marriage has unraveled “after constant fighting, marriage counseling, relationship boot camp, [and] secret meetings with a divorce lawyer.” But the magazine is clearly mistaken by the second sentence of its article when it maintains it has “learned that after 85 days apart and endless attempts to save their marriage, the superstar couple are preparing to officially announce their split in the coming weeks.” Eighty-five days apart? Actually, Urban posted a video on Instagram of himself with Kidman on Friday, cheering on the Nashville Predators against the Colorado Avalanche during an NHL playoff game at the Bridgestone Arena.
Still, the tabloid contends, “They’re getting set to fight for custody of their two daughters, nine-year-old Sunday and seven-year-old Faith.“ A so-called “insider” is quoted as telling the outlet, “It’s heartbreaking but it’s been a long time coming.” The supposed source adds, “Things have gotten progressively bad between them, and they haven’t been out together since January.” Again, not only were they at the hockey game a couple of days ago, but also Kidman shared a photo of her and Urban at the ACM Awards last Sunday looking very much in love on the red carpet.
For the most part, the article rehashes a handful of previously debunked reports, including how the actress and country singer attended a five-day relationship boot camp in Vermont. But, as Gossip Cop noted a month ago, that story about Kidman and Urban going to a counseling retreat in Vermont, which was originally published in In Touch, was 100 percent untrue. Kidman’s own rep told us on the record it was a “total fabrication.”
But it wasn’t just the actress’s side. Shortly before that tale tale was first floated, Urban himself discussed his marriage to Kidman on the Australian morning show, “Sunrise.” He stressed how they “keep it together” and “travel back and forward” to make sure they’re never apart for too long.
Despite how abundantly clear it is that the Woman’s Day cover story is wrong, the misguided tabloid continues on about how they had a “trial separation,” but “it hasn’t worked.” A seemingly fake “insider” asserts, “They thought having time apart to really evaluate their marriage was the best way to handle this, but the truth is the spark isn’t there anymore and they’ve both realized it’s no good pretending.” To that end, maintains the publication, “Keith is now basing himself in a hotel in Los Angeles when he’s not on tour, having moved out of the family home the couple shared in Nashville.”
As repeatedly illustrated above, not only have they been publicly seen together, but also the premise about how Urban walked out on Kidman was based on a Life & Style story that Gossip Cop busted a week and a half ago. At the time, Kidman’s rep assured us the narrative was “untrue, as always.” Curiously, what’s missing from the magazine’s article is any indication that it fact-checked its claims with reps and instead simply relied upon other tabloid reports and unnamed and untraceable sources. Irrespective of the preponderance of evidence, Gossip Cop looked into the publication’s assertions and once more a rep for Kidman exclusively tells us that all talk of the actress and Urban splitting up is “false.”
