Channing Tatum, Amber Heard Dating?

Channing Tatum and Amber Heard are not secretly dating following his split from Jenna Dewan, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the bogus rumors. We’re told the two aren’t romantically involved.

According to the latest issue of NW, however, the newly-single actor is on the “rebound” with Heard, his co-star in 2015’s Magic Mike XXL. A so-called “source” tells the magazine that the two got very close on the set of the movie, but they never acted on their “very obvious attraction” because he was married and she was engaged to then-fiancé Johnny Depp.

The outlet’s alleged insider goes on to say that although the former co-stars never hooked up while filming the Magic Mike sequel, they were “very flirty” and everyone “could feel the tension when Jenna visited the set.” The seemingly phony tipster continues, “After [Amber] got wind that his marriage was on the rocks, she started blowing up his phone and asking him out for drinks.”

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Heard, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but tells us, “That report is not true. She and Channing are not dating.” Meanwhile, People briefly touched upon the status of Heard’s love life earlier this week. In an article mainly focused on the actress’s large donation to a children’s hospital, the credible outlet also noted, “The actress is currently single after splitting from Elon Musk for a second time in February.”

It’s also worth noting, Tatum and Dewan explained in their separation announcement earlier this month that they wanted to share the news themselves because “truth can easily get distorted into alternative facts.” This article involving the actor’s nonexistent romance with Heard would be an example of those “alternative facts.”

It’s likely the tabloid is coupling up Tatum and Heard simply because they co-starred in a movie together and both are currently single. In fact, this isn’t the first time the pair has been wrongly linked. Last week, Gossip Cop called out In Touch for dredging up old and false rumors alleging Tatum cheated on Dewan with Heard while filming Magic Mike XXL. The former co-stars never had a fling back then, and they’re still not an item now.
