Katie Holmes Did NOT “Dump” Jamie Foxx For Joshua Jackson, Despite Report

Katie Holmes Dumped Jamie Foxox Joshua Jackson

(Star)

Katie Holmes did not “dump” Jamie Foxx for Joshua Jackson, despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. Reps for both Holmes and Jackson tells us on the record that the “Dawson’s Creek” co-stars are not dating.

But the new cover of Star is falsely announcing, “Katie Dumps Jamie For Costar Joshua: It’s On!” Similarly, inside the issue, the gossip magazine contends in a teaser, “Katie Holmes has kicked Jamie Foxx to the curb for a romance 20 years in the making.” According to the story, the former colleagues have had an “on-again, off-again affair,” but after they “locked eyes” at the recent “Dawson’s Creek” cast reunion, they were “back in action.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “They’ve clicked all over again, and a lot of people are rooting for them and believe the timing is right.”

As for Holmes’ relationship with Foxx, a purported “tipster close to the actress tattles” that she became “disappointed” in him and found he wasn’t “the man she thought he was” to the point where she “finally had enough of it.” And that, alleges the supposed insider, led Holmes to “go back to her ex.” And now she and Jackson are said to be “really, really happy together.”

Aside from allegedly reviving their relationship, the outlet and its “snitch” maintain Holmes and Jackson “always kept in touch,” and “Joshua was one of the first people she called when she found out she was going to have a baby” with then-husband Tom Cruise. Since then, it’s asserted Holmes has “kept him up to date on all of Suri’s momentous occasions.” And now “it’s like Jamie never existed,” claims the publication.

But much of this tale is wildly inaccurate. In fact, the only truths here are that Holmes and Jackson dated early on in their “Dawson’s Creek” days and the cast recently had a reunion for Entertainment Weekly. Contrary to the contentions here, though, Holmes and Jackson haven’t had an “on-again, off-again affair” for years, and they didn’t “always” keep in touch once their show ended in 2003. They actually didn’t speak for a long time, until Holmes randomly called Jackson in 2012 following her divorce from Cruise.

But then they lost touch again, with Holmes’ rep even telling Gossip Cop last summer that she and Jackson hadn’t “spoken” in quite some time. It is simply because they came face to face at last month’s EW photo shoot that the gossip media is now trying to make it seem like Holmes and Jackson are getting back together. As we already reported last week, that’s just not the case.

A spokesperson for Jackson even tells Gossip Cop these claims are “hilarious.” Meanwhile, Holmes’ rep insists to us that “none” of this new cover “is true.” Emphatically denying the romance claims, the rep further calls the article “made-up,” and confirms to us that the cast reunion was the first time Holmes and Jackson had seen each other in years. “They don’t speak [regularly] either,” says the rep for Holmes. Star has published outright lies about the actress before, much like it did when it fabricated a 2016 cover story about Holmes and Foxx being married in a secret wedding.
