Jennifer Garner Had Awkward Run-In With Ben Affleck’s Girlfriend In Hawaii?

Jennifer Garner did not have an awkward run-in with Ben Affleck’s girlfriend Lindsay Shookus in Hawaii, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We’re told the two women never crossed paths.

Last week, Shookus visited Affleck in Oahu, where he’s shooting the upcoming Netflix movie Triple Frontier. The two were spotted enjoying fun activities like kayaking and holding hands while taking in the sights. Meanwhile, Garner arrived on the island with her and Affleck’s three children over Easter weekend. This has prompted In Touch to allege there was an uncomfortable encounter between the actor’s estranged wife and his girlfriend.

A so-called “source” tells the magazine that when Garner arrived at the house Affleck is renting while in town, “the last thing she expected was to bump into Lindsay.” The suspicious insider continues, “It was awkward, but Jen decided to put her best foot forward and be friendly for the sake of the kids.”

As the story goes, Shookus gave Garner the cold shoulder. The alleged tipster claims the “Saturday Night Live” producer “wouldn’t even smile back” and “walked into another part of the house” when the actress tried to greet her. “Jen kept her distance from that point on,” adds the seemingly phony source.

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us there’s no truth to the tabloid’s account of events. We’re told Shookus left Hawaii before Garner and her kids even arrived on the island. Perhaps In Touch should try doing some fact-checking before making up a phony narrative that can easily be disproven. Although Affleck was photographed in Hawaii last week with both Shookus and Garner, he was with them on different days. The two women weren’t there at the same time.

It should be noted, the magazine frequently spreads lies about Affleck’s relationship with his estranged wife and girlfriend, so we’re not surprised by this bogus story. Gossip Cop recently busted the publication for falsely claiming that Shookus was eager to get pregnant with Affleck’s baby. Meanwhile, the tabloid wrongly reported last year that Affleck and Garner were having a fourth child together. This latest report involving both women is equally baseless.
