A story claiming Jennifer Aniston was “shook” after seeing photos of Justin Theroux with Aubrey Plaza was made-up. Gossip Cop can bust the seemingly fabricated report. This is one of the “fictional narratives” Aniston warned fans about.

As Gossip Cop reported, HollywoodLife wrongly issued a “new couple alert” for Theroux and Plaza on Thursday after they were photographed outside his apartment by paparazzi. Gossip Cop learned that not only is Plaza still dating her longtime boyfriend, but she and Theroux were only together to discuss a work project. Now, after falsely speculating they were dating, the site is pretending to know Aniston’s reaction to seeing the non-scandalous photos and is claiming to have “exclusively” learned how she plans on getting “revenge.”

“Jennifer is shook after seeing the pics of Justin with Aubrey,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying. The website’s supposed snitch maintains that regardless of the pair meeting up for professional reasons, it “still stings to see him with a pretty, younger actress.” The alleged tipster even contends that Aniston doesn’t believe Theroux and Plaza would get together “to talk about a role without Justin flirting a little.” And as a result, it’s claimed Aniston wants to “get into action ASAP.”

How so? “Maybe date someone younger,” alleges the blog’s purported insider, who asserts Aniston is “looking for a hot, young guy to take to dinner to Craig’s or some other place where she will be seen.” So HollywoodLies, as it is nicknamed, and its questionable “source” know that Craig’s is one of the best restaurants in Hollywood for celebrity sightings. This is common knowledge, not insider information. It is also known the actress has dined there in the past, such as when Aniston reunited there with “Friends” co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow in 2014.

The outlet seems to think referencing a hotspot that Aniston has previously visited adds credence to its tale. It doesn’t. If the online publication had a real “source,” as claimed, it would know that Aniston isn’t a fan of dating. In fact, as People reported last month, the star “hates all the media attention” that comes with dating in the public eye, which is why it makes no sense for HollywoodLies to allege she intends on stepping into the spotlight with a new guy at one of the most paparazzi-infested places in Los Angeles.

It also makes little sense to contend Aniston wants to get “revenge” on Theroux for merely discussing a work project with another actress whom he’s been friendly with for years. Aniston is described as “shook” when there’s nothing to be shaken over. Should Theroux be disturbed that Aniston is reteaming with Adam Sandler on a new movie? The idea is just silly and absurd.

When Aniston and Theroux announced their separation a month and a half ago, they specifically noted how “the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent.” Their joint statement warned, “Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative.” These comments apply to this bogus “exclusive” from HollywoodLies. The site first speculated about the nature of Theroux and Plaza’s hangout, and then it invented Aniston’s reaction. This is indeed a fictional narrative, one that Gossip Cop actually predicted.

When we busted the blog for its wrong “couple alert,” we said that we suspected the website would follow up by claiming to have “exclusive” insight related to Theroux and Plaza’s supposed relationship (see below). Lo and behold, that’s exactly what the outlet did. When you’re a fiction factory with fake sources, it’s pretty transparent.
