Kourtney Kardashian ‘Furious’ Scott Disick Took Kids On Trip With Sofia Richie Is Made-Up Story

A story claiming Kourtney Kardashian is “furious” Scott Disick took their kids on a “spring break trip” with Sofia Richie was seemingly made-up. On top of that, it’s untrue. Gossip Cop can bust the bogus report.

As is widely known, Kardashian and Disick share three children together: 8-year-old Mason, 5-year-old Penelope and 3-year-old Reign. Earlier this week, Disick and Richie took the kids on a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, where they are staying at a luxury resort. Now HollywoodLife is claiming to know Kardashian is “pretty angry” and “not happy about it.”

To give credence to its assertion, the site is quoting a so-called “source,” who says in unnaturally expository language, “Kourtney and Scott had a major blowout fight over him taking the kids on a spring break trip to Mexico with his girlfriend Sofia.” A real person would simply say, “Kourtney and Scott had a blowout fight over him taking the kids on a trip with Sofia.” But it’s apparent the quote was manufactured to include certain details.

As if Cabo San Lucas is on the other side of the world and not a mere two-and-a-half-hours away by plane, the website’s supposed snitch goes on to contend Kardashian believes it’s “entirely inappropriate for Scott to taking the kids [sic] on international trips with his too-young girlfriend.” Sure, Richie is only 19, but she has already spent a fair amount of time around the children. After throwing out those flimsy reasons for why Kardashian allegedly objected to the trip, the blog’s questionable insider asserts that she also disapproves of the couple taking the children “to a place where Scott is notorious for getting out of control.”

How, then, did Disick pull the getaway off? The specious “source” offers a convenient explanation, claiming, “Despite Kourtney’s disapproval over the trip, Scott took the kids along with Sofia anyway.” Disick does not have a formal custody arrangement with Kardashian, so he’s done nothing wrong legally. But given that the children primarily reside with her, it’s ridiculous to make it seem like the kids were taken away against their mother’s will. It is far more likely the trip was jointly coordinated, with Kardashian packing her little ones’ belongings and handing over their passports.

In fact, Kardashian is currently on a trip of her own with Younes Bendjima in San Francisco, which suggests she and Disick planned for him to take the children away while she, too, went out of town. It’s also important to note that while it’s true Disick has spent past years partying in Mexico, there’s never been any evidence of him misbehaving while the kids are in his custody. Obviously, if Kardashian was concerned about their safety under his watch, she’d have a custody arrangement that didn’t permit him to have alone time with the children at all.

Now let’s get back to the main premise that HollywoodLies, as it’s nicknamed, has been harping on for over a week, which is that Kardashian supposedly wants Richie to stay away from her children. Gossip Cop has already debunked this. While Kardashian’s initial reaction to Richie and Disick’s relationship was negative, People reported in early February that since “Sofia spends a lot of time at Scott’s… Kourtney allowed her to meet the kids” and they’ve been together a “few times.”

In other words, Kardashian doesn’t actually have a problem with Richie being around the children, contrary to what the blog wants readers to believe. That’s why the trip is happening. The site clearly doesn’t have a real “source,” because if it did, it would know all of the points Gossip Cop outlined above.

It’s also worth noting that, as seen in the screengrab below, HollywoodLies has a habit of claiming various members of the Kardashian-Jenner family and their significant others are “furious” about this or that. In none of these instances were the allegations ever corroborated by reputable publications. That’s because they were all apparently made-up, just like this latest story.
